## What Is ProveMove?

ProveMove blocks the apps you choose and releases them only after you have physically done a set number of exercises in front of the camera. On-device AI pose detection counts each repetition in real time; partial or faked movements are not counted.

The core concept is "Move-to-Unlock". Most screen time tools run on the honor system — you tap "done" and the block lifts. ProveMove verifies the work instead of trusting the claim, which is the one thing a self-reported blocker cannot do.

The app is built for a general audience. An optional family mode applies the same mechanic across up to 5 profiles under a parent PIN, which is how households use it to settle screen time arguments, but solo use is the primary case.

## How It Works

1. **Install & Set Up**: Create an account with an email address. A PIN protects settings when family mode is used.
2. **Pick the Apps**: Choose which apps get blocked — social, video, games, anything that pulls you in.
3. **Set the Price**: Decide how many exercises one unlock costs and how long the reward lasts.
4. **Do the Reps**: Opening a blocked app triggers ProveMove instead. Point the camera at yourself and move; the AI counts each repetition in real time.
5. **Apps Open**: Once the reps are verified, the block lifts for the time earned.
6. **Repeat**: The block re-applies when the earned time runs out.

## Key Features

### Camera-Verified Rep Counting
Real-time pose detection uses the device camera to identify 17 key body points and recognise the movement being performed. On Android this uses Google ML Kit Pose Detection; on iOS, the Apple Vision framework. All processing happens locally on the device — no video is ever recorded, stored, or transmitted. Partial or simulated movements do not register as valid repetitions.

### Do I need an internet connection?
Only for downloading the app, creating an account and syncing progress. Rep counting runs entirely on your device, so a session works with no connection at all.

### What exercises does the app recognise?
Twelve: squats, jumps, hands up, arm waves, side bends, high knees, toe touches, star jumps, marching in place, overhead claps, lunges, and cross touches. Each one has a demonstration and real-time feedback while you move. No equipment required.
